Does TruTrade work out CIS and PAYE from timesheets?
Yes. Once you approve the week, wages are worked out from each person's rate, with PAYE for your employed team and CIS for your subbies. You can see VAT, including reverse charge, in the HMRC view too. TruTrade doesn't file returns for you, but you'll have the figures ready for you or your accountant to send.
Do subcontractors need a seat?
Yes. Everyone who checks in needs a seat at £4.99 + VAT a month, subbies included. They only see their own jobs and tasks, never your prices or margins.
Can I fix a timesheet if someone forgets to clock out?
Yes. You or your site manager can correct a check-in or check-out and adjust the hours. Your team can't change their own timesheets.
What if there's no signal on site?
TruTrade works online, so your team need signal or Wi-Fi to clock in and out. There's nothing to download. It works in the browser on any phone.
Can I export timesheets to Xero, QuickBooks or Sage?
Not at the moment. TruTrade works out wages, PAYE and CIS for you, and the weekly report gives you or your accountant the figures you need.
Does TruTrade track my team's location?
No. TruTrade doesn't record anyone's location. Checking in and out time-stamps when someone starts and finishes on a site. The site QR sheet is linked to the job's address, not to their phone.
Can my team clock into more than one job in a day?
Yes. They check out of one site and into the next. They can't be checked in to two sites at the same time.
Will the older lads on my team be able to use it?
Yes. If they can use WhatsApp, they can use this. Checking in is a quick scan or a tap on a link, and there's nothing to download.
Is there a free construction timesheet app?
